Flat Classroom® Project Application

In 2013-2014 the Flat Classroom Project will run twice, each time for 10-12 weeks.

Here are basic outlines for each of the two projects as they run each year:

FCP-02: September-December

• Application Deadline: September 1
• Online Teacher Information meeting: Before September 15
• Classroom and student handshake: September 15-30
• Wiki editing and collaboration: October
• Wiki editing must be started by: October 15
• Video pitches and creation: November
• Video outsourced requests due: November 6
• Video outsourced requests completed and uploaded: November 12
• FCP videos due: November 23
• Student Summits: November 23 - December 14
• Video Judging Phase 1: November 23 - December 3
• Video Judging Phase 2 (meta-judging): December 4-12
• Awards ceremony: After December 12 as determined by the project organiser

FCP-01: January-April

• Application Deadline: January 23
• Online Teacher Information meeting: Before February 7
• Classroom and student handshake: February 7-21
• Wiki editing and collaboration: February 22 - March 22
• Wiki editing must be started by: March 8

• Video pitches and creation: March 23 - April
• Video outsourced requests due: Up before break or by April 5
• Video outsourced requests completed and uploaded: April 17
• FCP videos due: April 26
• Student Summits: April 26 - May 31
• Video Judging Phase 1: April 26 - May 6
• Video Judging Phase 2 (meta-judging): May 6 - 13
• Awards ceremony: After May 13 as determined by the project organiser
